Orthopaedic Surgeon
Orthopaedic Surgeon
ROLE: Orthopaedic Surgeon
LOCATION: Shavington, Cheshire, UK.
SALARY: £80k PA
An opportunity has arisen for a certified practitioner to join our current surgical team currently consisting of two lameness practitioners (one other orthopaedic surgeon and one MSK diagnostician), and a dedicated surgical nursing team. The role is aimed at a confident and passionate surgeon who has the skills to handle a growing and varied caseload. Common surgical procedures performed are TPLO, MLP/DFO/PGR, PTA/PCA, fracture repairs, angular limb surgeries and several arthroscopic procedures. The role would also suit a surgeon who wishes to learn or already performs neurosurgery. Applications are welcomed from both part-time and full-time applicants.
APPLICANTS
REQUIREMENTS: The successful applicant must work closely with the practice’s multidisciplinary team and have a strong interest in multimodal approaches to pain management and rehabilitation. The MSK portion of our lameness service manages the diagnosis and treatment of many high-level agility canines using diagnostic MSK ultrasound and regenerative medicine therapies. A collaborative approach is considered essential to manage lameness cases to the highest standards.
Applicants must be highly motivated, enthusiastic and share our ethos and drive to deliver the finest care in an environment where we put our team and patients’ best interests at heart. By contributing to our expanding service, the veterinarian will help drive clinical excellence and build client trust through thorough personalised treatment programmes. Building working relationships with our referring practices is also paramount. This includes offering written or telephone advice to referring vets and contributing to professional development in the local veterinary community by the delivery of CPD sessions.
