  • Ultrasonography
  • Advanced Imaging
  • Gastrointestinal endoscopy
  • Airway endoscopy
  • Cystoscopy
  • Oncology
  • Critical care
  • Feline medicine

Ultrasonography

Ultrasonography is a non-invasive diagnostic tool invaluable for imaging a pet’s chest, abdomen, and neck. It provides us with rapid, comprehensive results while also enabling our skilled internal medicine vets to collect ultrasound-guided samples of lesions or organs, essential for diagnosing many illnesses.

Advanced Imaging

Alongside our top-quality digital radiography facilities, we also offer pets access to our on-site CT scanner and our monthly visiting MRI services.  Access to these advanced imaging modalities provides us with high-quality 3D imaging essential for accurately diagnosing many medical conditions.

Gastrointestinal endoscopy

Endoscopy is highly beneficial tool for investigating digestive problems, as it allows the inside of your pet’s gastrointestinal tract (digestive system) to be imaged and explored without the need for surgery. It can also be used to remove foreign bodies commonly ingested by dogs, diagnose stomach ulcers, and enables our Internal Medicine vets to take biopsies of the digestive tract which are required for the diagnosis of many inflammatory conditions.

Airway endoscopy – Bronchoscopy and Rhinoscopy

Endoscopy is also a useful tool for investigating respiratory problems, as the whole respiratory tract can be accessed and visualised from your pet’s nose down to their lungs. Our Internal Medicine team has access to both rigid and flexible cameras, so they can also take biopsies, perform bronchial lavage, and retrieve foreign bodies.

Cystoscopy

Cystoscopy (endoscopy of the urinary and reproductive tract) is an important tool for investigating problems with the urogenital tract. It can help our internal medicine team to accurately diagnose haematuria (blood in the urine), a common presentation in dogs and cats, and it can also be used to identify anatomical abnormalities such as ectopic ureters.

Oncology

Discovering that your pet has cancer can be a very distressing time, but our oncology service aims to make this easier by providing pet owners with the support and information they need to give their pet the best quality of life. Our experienced Internal Medicine vets can accurately diagnose and determine the stage of the disease, before ensuring all suitable treatment options are offered to your pet. Any pets requiring surgery can be treated by our talented surgical team on-site, while chemotherapy can be given by our Internal Medicine team, or your pet can be referred for radiotherapy.

Critical care

At Eden Veterinary Referrals, we are proud to offer a top-quality critical care service 24 hours a day. This is run by our highly skilled Internal Medicine vets and dedicated nursing team.
